Description

HRCs nail-on flange is a complementary product to the HRC420 female rebar coupler. The plastic flange is connected to the internal threads of the HRC420 sleeve and nailed or glued to the formwork. It works both as thread protection and fixing of the rebar end at the same time.

When the formwork is removed, the flange will follow it, or can be screwed out e.g., with a screwdriver. This will give access to the female threads and leave a recess in the concrete surface. The latter creates an indent on the concrete surface – which can also be an advantage for the construction joint as a rough surface can contribute to increased shear capacity.
